Chefs de Mission and Assistant Chefs de Mission

Chefs de Mission and Assistant Chefs de Mission

By Evan Midford, Website & Social Media Coordinator

Sport Manitoba is looking to fill six Chef de Mission and six Assistant Chef de Mission roles to support the delivery of the 2024 Manitoba Summer Games. The ideal volunteer is an energetic, positive, and hard-working member of the community with a passion for amateur sport. Within this portfolio, Chefs will be required to lead their regional contingent of athletes, coaches, and managers and aid operations during the lead-up to, and during, the Games. Chefs are the primary link between Sport Manitoba, the 2024 Dauphin Host Society, and the participants representing their region.

The Manitoba Games are held every two years, alternating between the Summer and Winter event. The 2024 iteration will be August 11 – 17 in Dauphin, MB, and are the first set of Games since 2018 due to the COVID-19 cancellations in 2020 and 2022. The Games gathers nearly 2,000 participants across five regions of the province (North, West, East, South, and Winnipeg – six regional teams with Winnipeg sending two), and is Manitoba’s largest ongoing multi-sport event.
