Sport Manitoba is looking for a dynamic, innovative, and high-energy person with a passion for sports to join its team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for planning, creating, analyzing, and improving written content to achieve our organizational goals. Further responsibilities include CEO communications, sharing content to raise brand awareness, content optimization, and ensuring brand consistency within content.

 

Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism-related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of one year of experience in communications using multiple platforms in a professional setting. 
  • Experience coordinating and developing communications strategies and implementing tactical plans with demonstrated expertise in writing compelling and creative copy for the targeted medium.
  • Knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices. 
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders and volunteers.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
